The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a program run by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). It aims to provide financial assistance to Australians who are suffering from a lifelong health problem which has impacted their everyday life and activities significantly.
NDIS Participants are people who have been deemed eligible to be covered by the NDIS, and they receive funding from the NDIA to invest in activities and services which are meant to address the problems caused by disability. These activities and services will vary depending upon the individual and the specifics of their disability.
